How the evening goes

  1. 7pmCome in, grab a coconut and meet people. Once you’ve said hello, find a beanbag and some popcorn. Blankets are there if it gets cool.
  2. 7.30pmThe film starts on the big screen in the garden.
  3. 10pmThe film ends and we wrap up for the night.

Where it is

A private garden in Canggu, where we host all our evenings. It isn't a public venue, so the address is only for confirmed guests: once you're in, it's on this page and pinned in our WhatsApp group.

Who you'll meet

Founders, builders and creatives who live in Bali or are here for a while: people starting companies, building products or making things of their own. We read every request, so everyone in the garden is someone we said yes to, and the group is small enough that saying hello is easy.

Questions

Why do I have to request a spot?

It's a private garden and we like to keep it small, so we read every request. That way everyone there is someone you'd be happy to sit next to.

Is it really free?

Yes. No ticket, no membership fee, nothing to buy later. There's no agenda: the point of VICE is to bring good people together.

Is it OK to come alone?

Yes. We look after every guest personally, and everyone there has been approved, so you know who you're with. Or come with a friend: they send their own request.

Why isn’t the address public?

It's a private garden, not a public venue. Once you're confirmed, the address is on the event page and pinned in our WhatsApp group.

What film is it?

We vote for it together in our WhatsApp group during the week. You can see how the vote stands above.

What should I bring?

Just yourself. Beanbags, blankets, popcorn and fresh coconuts are there. If you’d like something else to drink, bring it along.

What is VICE

VICE is a community in Canggu for founders, builders and creatives. We host small evenings in a private garden: movie nights, padel, and a party once a month. It's free, and you join by request.
